WASHINGTON, DC — Democratic Leadership Project (DLP) congratulated Bob Brooks and Paige Cognetti on their victories in Pennsylvania’s Democratic primaries, advancing to the general election in PA-08 and PA-07 respectively. Both candidates received DLP endorsements, and DLP made a $100,000 direct mail independent expenditure in support of Bob Brooks, reaching approximately 40,000 voters across PA-07, representing one of the cycle’s most significant early IE commitments in the district.

PA-07 is a must-win seat for Democrats seeking to reclaim the House majority — a Trump-Biden-Trump district where Republican Ryan Mackenzie defeated incumbent Susan Wild by less than one point in 2024. Bob Brooks, a 20-year Bethlehem firefighter and former President of the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association, has earned endorsements from Governor Shapiro, Senator Sanders, and Lt. Governor Davis. In PA-08, Paige Cognetti advances as the party’s standard-bearer with DLP’s full support heading into November.
